Tennis with Jesus
That’s really the best way to describe my conversation with him the other day. “I am your servant” he said to his friends – and this is no rhetorical flourish. The longer I live the more that seems very true to me. We keep planting seeds in our personal, family and vocational lives and too often want to control the the results. More >
Prayer – Present with others
The email expressed a friend’s deep medical and emotional need. I received it just before I began a 90 minute period of silent reflection with those I led on a retreat. The phrase “Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them” captured me, transforming my 90 minutes of silence.
