Yesterday was Palm Sunday, normally a big day for church gatherings, but not for this pandemic era. The event it’s based on had its own virus, darkness and confusion mingled with the shouts of joy and anticipation of the throngs.

Is one of the many humorous shots I experienced in our new world of Zoom group and individual conversation. It’s the fifth week of Lent, and the third week of the Corona Virus Super Lent.

I don’t know about you but so much is happening so fast that it is hard to know how to respond. But a measure of our crazy times was a headline in Friday’s Globe & Mail with manufacturers assuring Canadians that there is plenty of toilet paper.

It doesn’t show in my waistline but there are lots of afternoons I’ll suddenly notice I have forgotten to eat lunch. Now that isn’t a big deal if I’ve just been focussed on a simple, enjoyable task. And I probably wasn’t even hungry anyway.
